About Circulate

Spend Your Stuff, Save The Cash

Our mission

Circulate is a better way to barter for the modern world.

Traditional bartering only works when two people each have exactly what the other wants at the same time. Circulate removes that limitation by letting users trade their items for platform credits, which can then be used across the marketplace for other goods and services.

That means you can turn your unused stuff into real purchasing power without needing to find the perfect one-to-one swap.

Circulate was created around a simple belief:

People already own value.

Too often, perfectly useful items sit unused while people struggle to afford the things they need most. Textbooks collect dust. Furniture sits in storage. Electronics go unused. Meanwhile, someone nearby is spending cash they can barely afford to spend.

Circulate exists to unlock that trapped value.

Instead of forcing people to rely entirely on cash, Circulate creates a community-powered exchange economy where users can turn unused belongings into purchasing power for other goods and services within the platform.

Spend your stuff. Not your cash.

The goal is simple: keep more money in your bank account while still getting what you need.

Every dollar not spent on a textbook, mini fridge, desk, appliance, or household item is money that stays:

  • invested
  • saved
  • available for emergencies
  • available for rent, tuition, food, or family

There are billions upon billions of dollars in untapped equity sitting unused in homes, dorms, garages, storage units, and closets. Circulate is designed to help communities unlock that dormant value and convert it into usable purchasing power.

Circulate is designed to help communities create value from what they already own.

Why we created Circulate

We created Circulate because millions of people are asset-rich but cash-poor.

Students, families, and communities often own thousands of dollars worth of usable items, yet still struggle with everyday expenses because traditional commerce depends almost entirely on cash availability.

Circulate challenges that model.

By enabling users to exchange value through community purchasing power, Circulate helps:

  • reduce financial pressure
  • increase affordability
  • reduce waste
  • extend the life cycle of goods
  • strengthen local communities
  • create new economic opportunity

The long-term vision is bigger than a marketplace.

It is about creating smarter, more sustainable, community-driven commerce.

The environmental impact

Circulate is also built around sustainability.

Every reused item means:

  • fewer items sent to landfills
  • reduced manufacturing demand
  • reduced waste
  • reduced environmental impact

Reusing existing goods is one of the simplest and most effective ways to reduce unnecessary consumption.

Instead of constantly buying new products, Circulate encourages communities to maximize the value of what already exists.

How credits work

Circulate uses internal platform credits to facilitate exchanges within the platform.

Users earn credits primarily by selling items through the marketplace.

Credits can then be used toward other items and services available within the Circulate ecosystem.

As a general guideline, users are encouraged to price items similarly to their fair-market cash value.

Example:

  • A textbook normally sold for around $50 may be listed for around 50 credits.
  • A mini fridge typically sold for $100 may be listed around 100 credits.

This helps maintain consistency, fairness, and trust throughout the marketplace.

Circulate credits are intended for use within the Circulate platform and ecosystem.
